About Us
Owen Pacific Workforce (OPW) is an employer under the Australian Government Seasonal Worker Program, The Pacific Labour Scheme and is planning for the new ASEAN AG Visa.
Since 2012, OPW has provided over 3,000 workers for the picking and packing of fruit and vegetables, and crop work such as planting and pruning.
OPW recruits and trains workers who typically return year after year, producing reliable results season after season. They are highly motivated as this opportunity can make a lifetime of difference in their home country.
Seasonal Worker Program
The Seasonal Worker Program offers growers in the horticulture sector access to a reliable, returning workforce when the seasonal nature of the work makes it difficult for growers to find Australian workers for picking, packing and crop work.
OPW workers use the money they make in Australia to build homes, educate their children, start their own businesses and support their families, and research shows that because of their high level of motivation, Pacific Seasonal Workers are highly productive.

Australian Agriculture Visa
Formally announced 22 August 2021, the AG Visa will provide a new source of labour for farms in Australia. OPW is preparing to include these new visa holders as part of our workforce.

Worker Care
OPW respects its workers. They are the key to our success, and we work hard to help them know how to play their part in our team and to feel competent to do their job. To enhance our worker care we have developed the first illustrated crop worker handbook in Australia.
We know that workers need extra support because they are away from home and the challenge of succeeding in Australia can be intimidating. The handbook is one example of how we invest in training for workers and team leaders to help them succeed at work.
We partnered with Creative Contracts, who developed the world’s first comic contract, and we are the first company to work with them to produce training material for workers in Australia.
